If you are looking for a day trip or an overnight stop, St Petes is a fantastic option for all age groups. St Petes Beaches are often referred to as the ‘Holiday Isles’, which are part of the most popular coastal trips, thanks to the romantic beaches, and warm Gulf Coast waters, not to mention the stunning sunsets and wonderful sandy beaches. Not too far from Clearwater St Petes Beach is part of a 30 mile long string of busy barrier beaches. It is connected to Tampa by bridge and causeways to a number of islands in the Gulf.
When it comes to accommodation and eating out there is a good selection of hotels, motels and restaurants to suit all budgets. If you are in the mood for a bit of adventure you could always hire a car and take a scenic drive to Fort de Soto Park north of Don Cesar. Take a self guided walking tour through the pines and oaks and enjoy a picnic along the edge of the park. If you want to see a bit of Indoor attraction there are museums. Also visit shops and spas to help you spend money on luxuries. Museums, animal sanctuaries, and unusual architecture make for very interesting sights too.
