Towering palm trees, tropical plants and flowers, and a winding lagoon earmark the Naples Grande Resort and Spa. Inside, windows are floor-to-ceiling, and a fountain is fashioned of blue tile and green marble. Décor includes crystal and iron chandeliers, velvet and brocade fabrics, azure, sea green and turquoise color schemes and Asian accents.
Set on 23 lush, inland acres along the Florida coast, this resort is two blocks from the Naples Museum of Art and nearby shops; an open-air tram leads through Clam Pass Park to the beach.
The 5,500-square-foot health club and spa offers cardio and strength-training equipment, free weights, exercise balls, and mats. Water aerobics, yoga, and pilates are also offered, while a wall of windows provides full views of the gulf and estuary.
Mangrove Pool and Mountain is a heated lagoon pool with a 100-foot water slide for guests of all ages. This giant splash pool offers a kid-friendly zero-entrance at one end, as well as a lounging shelf.
The Palm Terrace Pool features bougainvillea-filled trellises, a spa tub and ten private cabanas with telephones, computer hookups, TVs, mini-fridges with snacks and drinks, tables with chairs (four chairs each), two padded chaise lounges, and butler service (surcharges). Three additional pools are available for lap swimming and water aerobics.
