Memphis. Attractions.
A great way to tour Memphis is to jump on the Sun Studio Shuttle which stops at hourly intervals. It takes you to studios from Sun Studio, to American Soul Music and to Graceland.
National Civil Rights Museum. It is the building where Martin Luther King was shot.
Graceland. Where Elvis Presley lived and eventually died in August 1977. Get a pass for many of the sights there or individual tickets. Buy souvenirs in the shop. Listen to what his widow and daughter Lisa Marie have to say on recordings.
Memphis Music Studios. In particular check out the amazing Sun Recording Studio as above.
With plenty of theatre and culture book your tickets at the Orpheum Theatre, on Main Street and The Cannon Centre on Main Street for Performing Arts. Book for The Circuit Playhouse, The Playhouse on the Square and the Hattiloo Theatre on Marshall Avenue. They are great value.
