The Georgia Aquarium is a great day out for all the family and is the world’s largest aquarium. Goggle at the beluga whales, sharks, otters and piranha.
Next door to the aquarium is the World Of Coca Cola. Sip that drink from all over the world. Aren’t they all the same?! Otherwise there are Andy Warhol pieces to view and a 4d film to watch.
Piedmont Park in Midtown is a beautiful romantic park. Relax at the many festivals and music events there. Bike along the bike paths for free. It’s Saturday Green Market, a dog area and lovely green spaces make a change from clubs, bars and restaurants.
A must see is the spectacular Botanical Gardens in the North West Corner of Piedmont. Walk round the Japanese Garden, winding paths and the amazing Fuqua Orchid Centre.
The High Museum Midtown works in partnership with the Paris Louvre. It also has an impressive American collection which has 20c pieces from Gerhard Richter and folk art.
There are many festivals and events you can check online such as The Atlanta Jazz Festival or buy a weekly paper and check out the events list. Also check them for music and clubbing venues.
